Stuffing

  • 6 cups whole grain bread, air dried for 1-2 hour cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 2 cups fat-free, low sodium chicken broth

  • 3 onions, diced

  • 4 stalks celery, diced

  • 1 lb. fresh mushroom, sliced

  • 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons sage

  • 2 teaspoons thyme

  • 2 teaspoons garlic power

  • Salt & pepper to taste


In a skillet over medium high heat, saute onion, celery, and mushrooms in 1/2 cup broth until soft. In a large bowl, combine onion mixture with spices and remaining chicken broth. Add bread cubes and stir until evenly coated. Stuffing may be loosely packed inside turkey before roasting, or baked in a sprayed casserole dish at 350° for 30-40 minutes.
